The New York Islanders are banking on a return to the promising form demonstrated by Cory Conacher during his rookie season, as the team has inked the diminutive forward to a one-year contract.
One-year, $600K deal for Conacher, who was not given QO by Sabres. 4th team in 3 seasons for Conacher, who was traded by TBL for Ben Bishop.

Conacher, 24, recorded nine goals and 15 assists in 35 games with the Tampa Bay Lightning prior to being traded to the Ottawa Senators; after being flipped to the Sabres prior to the 2014 trade deadline, Conacher mustered three goals and three assists in 19 games, and was non-tendered by Buffalo at season's end, making him an unrestricted free agent.
