Report: Devils sign Larsson to 1-year, 1-way, $900K contract

The New Jersey Devils have made a relatively small commitment to Adam Larsson, signing the 21-year-old defenseman to a one-year, one-way, $900,000 contract, according to Tom Gulitti of The Record.

The fourth-overall pick in the 2011 Draft, Larsson came to the end of his three-year, $2.775 million entry-level contract that carried an $925,000 cap hit, meaning this new deal is a slight decrease in pay.

Larsson bounced between the NHL and AHL in 2013-14, and clearly has work to do in terms of earning the long-term trust of the organization.
