Rask adds Vezina to trophy case
Boston Bruins puck-stopper Tuukka Rask topped Colorado's Semyon Varlamov and Tampa Bay's Ben Bishop to claim the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's best goaltender.
Rask back-stopped the Bruins to their second Presidents Trophy in franchise history in 2013-14, posting a 36-15-6 record with a sparkling 2.04 GAA and a .930 save percentage (both tops among goaltenders with at least 45 starts).
The 27-year-old, who finished fifth in Vezina voting in 2012-13, was the crown jewel of the second best defensive team in hockey, as the Bruins allowed a mere 177 goals in 82 games (Jonathan Quick and the Los Angeles Kings allowed 174 goals).
Here's how the voting for the award shook down.
