Late in a fairly even first period of Wednesday's Game 7 against the New York Rangers, goaltender Steve Mason came up big for the Philadelphia Flyers with two key saves.
After the Rangers forced a turnover while his teammates failed to clear the puck out of the defensive zone, Mason flashed leather on a Rick Nash wrist shot, and subsequently gobbled up the rebound off the stick of Martin St. Louis.
