O`Reilly bagged his team-high 26th goal of the season in Wednesday`s 5-4 loss -- the Avs` second in as many nights -- to the Jets.

Analysis:

O`Reilly set the tone just 20 seconds in with a fortuitous bounce against the Jets, banking a pass intended for Jamie McGinn off Bryan Little`s skate and into the net. Since December 8, the 2009 33rd-overall pick hasn`t gone more than three games without a goal, so it was nice to see him continue that trend of consistency after not scoring since his last goal against Chicago, four games prior. Much of his success in finding twine so often this year lies in his 15.1 shooting percentage. It is nearly a full five points higher than his career-average of 10.4 and is indicative of O`Reilly getting better scoring chances while playing with more productive linemates (aka. the Matt Duchene Effect). He`ll look to keep rolling Friday versus the Eastern Conference-leading Bruins.
