Alex Tanguay: (Knee) Nearing Return

Tanguay (knee/hip) is nearing a return and has a specific date in mind that he chose not to reveal, The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

Tanguay has been practicing with the team and can essentially be considered day-to-day after the weekend. He scored nine points in 13 games, prior to suffering a knee injury Nov. 2. Tanguay then dealt with a hip issue during his recovery, and at one point was worried that the hip would require surgery. Everything seems to have cleared up, so a return within the next week or so is likely.
