Flames' Chad Johnson: Will join Canada for Worlds

Johnson will take part in the 2017 IIHF World Championship, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.

Analysis:

Johnson will likely be eager to get onto the ice considering the Flames used him for just two periods during their brief Stanley Cup playoffs appearance. On the year, the netminder posted an 18-15-1 record -- including a trio of shutouts -- along with a .910 save percentage. Once he is done representing his country, the 30-year-old will probably turn his focus to next season as he looks for a new contract -- which may or may not be with Calgary.
