Avalanche's Nikita Zadorov: Taken off injured reserve

Zadorov (ankle) is no longer listed on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.

Analysis:

While this move could just be a formality, it's worth noting that Zadorov will become a restricted free agent this offseason and, per Adrian Dater of BSN Denver, is toying with the idea of signing with a KHL team in his native Russia. All that aside, the severity of the 22-year-old's injury is still something of a mystery so even if he does return to the NHL, there's no guarantee he'll be healthy by the time training camp opens in the fall.
