Lightning's Ryan Callahan: Expected back for 2017-18 season

Callahan (hip) should be back to 100 percent heading into the 2017-18 campaign, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Callahan was sidelined for the second half of the season due to this hip ailment. There was some hope the winger would be available for the postseason, but with the Lightning coming up short, he was unable to suit back up this year. In his limited 18 appearances, the 32-year-old tallied just two goals and a pair of helpers.
