Islanders' Ryan Strome: A week away from full health

Strome (wrist) could've returned to the Islanders mid-way through the first round had they made the playoffs, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Analysis:

Strome was a disappointment this season with only 13 goals and 30 points in 69 games. The former first-round pick may never reach his potential with the Islanders and could be left unprotected in the expansion draft. If he does return to the Islanders it will likely be as part of the bottom-six forward group.
