Devils' Joe Blandisi: Sent to AHL

Blandisi was reassigned to AHL Albany on Monday.

Analysis:

Still just 22 years of age, Blandisi split much of his season between the top two levels. He didn't reach the NHL until Feb. 3 this season, but flashed his potential over a 14-game span in which he tallied nine points. He only finished with those nine points in 27 games overall, but could stand a chance to crack a roster devoid of major scoring power if he can prove to consistently contribute next season. For now, he will rejoin AHL Albany as it pursues a playoff berth.
