Lightning's Adam Erne: Sent down to minors

Erne was shipped back to AHL Syracuse on Monday.

Analysis:

With a bevy of injuries impacting the Lightning lineup this season, Erne was able to log 26 contests in the second half of the campaign. The 21-year-old averaged 11:48 of ice time and registered a trio of goals, including a two-goal outing against Dallas on April 2. The winger heads back to the minors, where he will look to help Syracuse win the Calder Cup for the first time since 1936-37.
