Hurricanes' Sergey Tolchinsky: Sent down Monday

Tolchinsky was reassigned to AHL Charlotte on Monday.

Analysis:

With the NHL season over in Carolina, there's no downside to sending Tolchinsky down to help out Charlotte in its tight race to make the playoffs. The winger had 22 points in 57 games with Charlotte throughout the season.
