Blackhawks' Corey Crawford: Starting Saturday in LA

Crawford will guard the cage in Saturday's regular-season finale against the Kings, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.

Analysis:

Crawford struggled in his last start Thursday against Anaheim, surrendering four goals on 26 shots en route to a 4-0 loss, but that defeat should be taken with a grain of salt. The Blackhawks decided to rest several of their best defensive players against the Ducks, including Jonathan Toews, Marian Hossa, Brent Seabrook and Duncan Keith, so the end result of that contest wasn't particularly surprising. All of those players are expected to return to the lineup against the Kings, so Crawford should fare much better Saturday. He'll look to close out the regular season by picking up his 33rd win of the campaign in a road matchup with an LA club that's averaged 2.75 goals per game at home this season, 20th in the NHL.
