Avalanche's Calvin Pickard: Narrowly edged by Wild

Pickard was handed a 4-3 home loss to the Wild on Thursday, stopping 24 shots in the process.

Analysis:

The Avs outshot the Wild 33 to 28, though Minnesota's club seemed to have better looks, and a game-tying goal by allied skater Sven Andrighetto was overturned. Unfortunately for Pick, despite a couple highlight-reel saves, he would go on to lose his 30th game in 49 appearances. All that remains of Colorado's season is a back-to-back set this weekend against the Stars and Blues, respectively. Presumably, Pickard will play in at least one of those.
