Ducks' Ryan Getzlaf: Participates in game-day skate

Getzlaf (lower body) was on the ice for Thursday's morning skate ahead of the Ducks' matchup with Winnipeg, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

Getzlaf told reporters he was going to see how "things react" before determining his status against the Jets. If the center is given the all clear, he will almost certainly bump Antoine Vermette from a top-six role. Prior to getting hurt, Getzlaf was on a tear, tallying 23 points in his previous 15 outings, including two goals on the power play and another one shorthanded. The veteran is averaging 21:03 of ice time thanks to playing in all three facets of the game, which means he'll have plenty of chances to bend the twine.
