Red Wings' Luke Glendening: To miss balance of regular season

Glendening (lower body) will miss the rest of the season due to a fractured ankle/foot, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Analysis:

The gritty utility winger had a typical season in the bottom six, adding 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) with 150 hits and 62 blocked shots over 74 games. Glendening remains a solid line defender, with his career-worst minus-10 rating more of a systematic problem than a knock on him personally. With the Red Wings officially out of the playoff picture, he'll have plenty of time to prepare for the 2017-18 campaign.
