Coyotes' Shane Doan: Frustrated by late-season injury

Doan (lower body) has not played since March 16 and remains frustrated by his late-season injury, Sarah McClellan of The Arizona Republic reports.

Analysis:

The 40-year-old might be playing in his final NHL season, adding to the sting of the injury. He has recently been able to take part in the team's group skate, but the timetable for his return to game action is uncertain. It would be a shame to see the venerable right winger go out like this, so hopefully he'll be able to get out on the ice for a game or two before the curtains fall on the 2016-17 season -- and perhaps his career.
