Red Wings' Andreas Athanasiou: No-show in warmups

Athanasiou (upper body) wasn't spotted in warmups and will not play Tuesday against the Hurricanes, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis:

Athanasiou took a cross check to the back Monday night. The 22-year-old has two goals and an assist over his past two contests. Ben Street will take his place for the time being, with Double A's next possible return date Thursday in Tampa Bay.
