Hurricanes' Alex Nedeljkovic: Called up Tuesday

Nedeljkovic was recalled from the minors Tuesday.

The 21-year-old backstop heads to the parent club on the heels of Eddie Lack sustaining an injury upon colliding with Andreas Athanasiou on the final play of Monday's overtime loss to the Red Wings. Nedeljkovic has played in three different organizational levels this season, but he's spent the most time with AHL Charlotte, recording an 8-14-0 record, 3.40 GAA and .881 save percentage. With numbers like that, it's clear that the American-born backstop needs more polish on his game.
