Red Wings' Niklas Kronwall: Officially out Monday

Kronwall (knee) will miss Monday's game against the Hurricanes, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Analysis:

Kronwall is still dealing with some lingering knee issues and the indication was that he couldn't play three games in three days for the club. His absence from Monday's lineup against the Hurricanes opens the door for Dan Renouf to make his NHL debut Monday, while Kronwall should be ready to return Tuesday in a rematch between the two clubs. Robbie Russo will replace him on the power play Monday.
