Penguins' Conor Sheary: Suffers injury Sunday

Sheary sustained a lower-body injury in Sunday's game against the Flyers and is day-to-day.

Analysis:

The diminutive winger got banged up in the first period and didn't return for the remainder of the contest, recording just 3:56 of ice time. Sheary has already missed a handful of games this season due to various injuries, which has stunted a still-impressive 21-goal, 50-point campaign in 54 contests (prior to Sunday). On the bright side, the Pens have locked up a playoff spot, so Sheary will have plenty of time to rest up before the postseason, but that doesn't do much to quiet the concerns of his fantasy owners in the midst of vying for a championship. Look for further updates on his status prior to Wednesday's date with the Blackhawks.
