Laine (illness) did not take the ice for pregame warmups, likely ruling him out for Sunday's game against the Canucks.

Analysis:

Laine had hit a bit of a rough patch by his standards coming into Sunday, recording just one point in his last five contests, so perhaps a day off to rest will do him some good. Most illnesses are short lived anyhow, so the rookie sensation could return to the lineup soon.
