Canucks' Brock Boeser: Playing for big club Saturday

Boeser signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Canucks on Saturday. According to Sportsnet's Dan Murphy of Sportsnet, he's projected to play (on the second line) with Sven Baertschi and Bo Horvat in Saturday's matinee against the Wild.

Analysis:

What an opportunity for Vancouver's 23rd overall pick from the 2015 draft. He was a member of a potent University of North Dakota team that was eliminated by Boston University in double overtime Friday as part of the NCAA tournament -- he had an assist and seven empty shots in that game. Still, as noted in this latest report, he won a NCAA Division I title with that squad as an assistant captain last year. Keep an eye on him as a deep sleeper in fantasy leagues.
