Blackhawks' Corey Crawford: Stops 42 in shootout win

Crawford turned aside 42 of 44 shots through overtime and two of three shootout attempts in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Stars.

Analysis:

While Crawford allowed four goals on 10 shots before being pulled against the Canucks in his last outing, the veteran goalie's play here more closely resembled the form he showed in winning each of his three starts before that. Ales Hemsky was a thorn in Crawford's side all night with both Dallas goals, but it was Crawford who got the last laugh when he denied Hemsky in the third round of the shootout to seal the victory. He has made 40 or more stops three times in his past five appearances after facing fewer than 40 shots in each of his first 44.
