Blue Jackets' Sergei Bobrovsky: Loses heartbreaker in shootout
Bobrovsky stopped 44 of 45 shots in Washington on Thursday, only to give up the only goal of the shootout in a 2-1 loss.
Analysis:
T.J. Oshie beat Bob to open the shootout after the two teams traded goals in the third period. This was a big game for the Jackets as they take aim at the Caps for home-ice advantage in the playoffs, and Bobrovsky put up a masterful performance, making 15 more saves than counterpart Braden Holtby, but the shootout was his undoing. Fortunately for the Russian netminder, his next three games feature more favorable matchups -- the Flyers, Sabres and Hurricanes.
