Capitals' Braden Holtby: Comes away victorious in goalie duel
Holtby saved 29 of 30 shots and all three in the shootout Thursday, delivering a 2-1 win over Columbus.
Analysis:
This was an intense battle of two Vezina-contending goalies, but Holtby ultimately got the best of Sergei Bobrovsky, who made 44 stops of his own. After skidding for a few games, Holtby's found his stride again, going 4-0-1 in his last five. As amazing as last year's 48-win season was, Holtby has been even better this year, as his 2.03 GAA and .926 save percentage are both career bests.
