Analysis:

Although Pesce still has a chance to add to his modest totals this season, it's safe to say the Hurricanes are not counting on him to provide much by way of offense. Given that he is second on the team in blocked shots (129) and third in shorthanded ice time (2:08), the Canes have assigned Pesce more of a defensive role this season. He's clearly handled it with aplomb, as evidenced by his plus-14 rating. That said, all of this adds up to little more than modest fantasy value unless your league places a heavy premium on the aforementioned secondary stat categories.
