Flyers' Steve Mason: Facing rubber Thursday

Mason will be in goal versus the Wild on Thursday, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Analysis:

Considering that Mason has appeared in 10 of the Flyers' last 11 outings, it would seem he has retaken the starting job after briefly ceding it to Michal Neuvirth. The 28-year-old Mason has been less than stellar -- he's 2-4-0 with a 2.84 GAA and .897 save mark in his last six games -- but coach Dave Hakstol doesn't seem to be pondering a switch between the pipes. This should be a difficult matchup for the netminder, as he faces off against the Wild's second-ranked offense (3.22 goals per game) in Minnesota, where they've played particularly well.
