Flyers' Steve Mason: Drops decision to Jets

Mason's 30 saves weren't enough in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Winnipeg.

Analysis:

Mason has appeared in 10 of his team's past 11 games with the Flyers attempting to ride the hot hand in hopes of a playoff berth. The term "hot hand" is relative, of course, as he has just two wins and 16 goals allowed in his past six games. Philadelphia sits seven points back of Toronto for the second wild-card spot, so Mason may not be tasked with a heavy workload much longer.
