Canadiens' Al Montoya: Tending twine Tuesday
Montoya will get the starting nod for Tuesday's clash with Detroit.
Analysis:
Considering how badly Detroit has been struggling of late, the Habs probably figured this was a good time to get Montoya a start and give Carey Price the night off. Montoya has made a mere seven appearances in goal since the turn of the calendar, going 4-2-1 with a 2.68 GAA. Those are respectable numbers for a backup netminder who isn't expected to make many more starts to close out the season, barring injury.
