Canadiens' Tomas Plekanec: Puts Habs on top early

Plekanec scored 28 seconds into the first period of Sunday's 4-1 win over Ottawa. The goal was his eighth of the season and first in 19 games.

Analysis:

The Habs swept the home-and-home weekend series against their closet competitor in the Atlantic, thanks in large part to goals from secondary sources. And it doesn't get much more secondary than Plekanec, as the 33-year-old center's production has fallen off a cliff this season with just 25 points in 69 games.
