Capitals' Braden Holtby: Toppled by Preds in OT

Holtby stopped 22 of 24 shots in Thursday's 2-1 overtime loss to Nashville.

Analysis:

That 24th and final shot came off the stick of Preds winger Victor Arvidsson, sending Holtby to the loss column for the fourth time in his last five starts. He's had some clunkers recently, but the reigning Vezina holder has bounced back with strong efforts in his last two outings. Holtby may see some extra rest down the stretch as the Caps look to preserve him for the playoffs, but that hasn't been in evidence so far.
