Red Wings' Petr Mrazek: Hoping for support in desert Thursday

Mrazek will return to the road net for Thursday's clash with the Coyotes, NHL.com reports.

Analysis:

Mrazek gets the starting assignment on the heels of Detroit's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche, the league's worst team. The Czech tender has made just one start in the past three games, as he's being utilized less frequently with Jimmy Howard finally able to overcome a nagging knee injury. While the Coyotes aren't exactly a formidable opponent -- they rank 26th in home scoring at 2.43 goals per game -- Mrazek could still run into trouble since the Desert Dogs have won three straight games, scoring nine goals in that span.
