Capitals' Braden Holtby: Comes away victorious in battle of Vezina candidates

Holtby denied 30 of 32 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 victory over the Wild.

Analysis:

Minnesota's Devan Dubnyk seemed to be running away with the Vezina Trophy for much of the season, but he's faded a bit -- including giving up four goals to the Caps in this one -- while Holtby has come on strong in the second half. Well, except for the little three-game losing skid he ended Tuesday, but he's entitled to a little slump in the aftermath of a 19-0-1 stretch.
