Condon earns Senators a point with incredible 2-minute sequence

Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports

The Ottawa Senators are just one point back of the Montreal Canadiens after Tuesday night, and they have Mike Condon to thank.

Condon made 35 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and a number of them came in a two-minute span about halfway through the third period, when the 'tender stood on his head.

Tampa Bay eventually won it on Victor Hedman's winner; Condon had no chance on the play, thanks to a perfect pass from Ondrej Palat.

Ottawa now has 85 points to Montreal's 86, with two games in hand. And guess what? The Sens and Habs play a back-to-back on Saturday and Sunday. That'll be fun.
