The concussion suffered by Aaron Ekblad during Saturday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning will keep the defenseman out of the lineup for 7-10 days, head coach Tom Rowe said, according to George Richards of the Miami Herald.

Ekblad suffered the injury after taking a hit to the back of the head from Gabriel Dumont.

Forward Denis Malgin will be out of the lineup for the same time frame as he also deals with a concussion, while Jakub Kindl will draw into the lineup Tuesday when the club hosts the Toronto Maple Leafs, according to Richards.

Ekblad is having another strong campaign with 10 goals and 21 points in 67 games.
