Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Surging backstop to start again Saturday
Vasilevskiy will patrol the crease Saturday as the home starter against the Panthers, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Analysis:
The 22-year-old Russian has wins in four of five games since the Bolts traded Ben Bishop to the Kings and replaced him with Peter Budaj, who has broken out in a big way this season but is a rental player and probably doesn't expect to take the No. 1 job away from Vasilevskiy. Looking ahead to the next matchup, Vasilevskiy will field pucks from a Florida team that averages 2.53 road goals per game, good for 15th in the NHL.
