Devils' Taylor Hall: Sends one behind tender Thursday

Hall found twine on a game-high four shots in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.

Analysis:

Hall was scoreless in seven straight games before crashing the net on a rebound less than a minute into the third period. Traded from Edmonton for defenseman Adam Larsson in the offseason, the first overall pick of 2010 has lit the lamp 15 times in his first year with New Jersey, making it highly unlikely that he matches the 26 he buried with the Oilers in 2015-16. A career-low shooting percentage (8.2) is largely to blame, though he's replicated his 12 power-play points from last year in 25 fewer games.
