Ducks' Jonathan Bernier: Stuns Blackhawks with road shutout

Analysis:

The Ducks gave him just a single goal of support, but it was enough. This was quite the outlier performance for Bernier as he made his seventh straight appearance; in the prior six, he compiled a 2.99 GAA and .900 save mark. Yet he denied Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews six times each, and Marian Hossa another five. Normal No. 1 netminder John Gibson (lower body) has been ruled out for Friday's game, but it's unclear whether Bernier will be entrusted with back-to-back starts, especially considering how busy he was; Jhonas Enroth might get a shot in that one.
