Penguins' Matt Murray: Tending twine Wednesday

Murray will get the starting nod against the Jets on Wednesday, Brian Munz of TSN 1290 reports.

Analysis:

Murray will be hoping for a significantly better start to this game than his last time out, in which he gave up three goals in the first period before getting the hook from coach Mike Sullivan. Given the stellar performance from Marc-Andre Fleury in that relief appearance, there's certainly potential for Murray to be looking over his shoulder. For now, the 23-year-old seems to have cemented himself in the No. 1 role, but with a veteran of the Flower's caliber sitting on the bench, a few missteps could see the youngster lose some playing time.
