Avalanche's Calvin Pickard: Facing Hurricanes on Tuesday

Pickard will face pucks from the visiting Hurricanes on Tuesday, Terry Frei of the Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

If you exclude Pickard's last start when he allowed five goals on 20 shots, he's actually played decently of late, posting a 2.37 GAA and .939 save percentage in the three starts prior to the thrashing. The only problem is that the team in front him can't score goals on the other end or prevent the other team from taking shots, resulting in goals no matter how well Pickard plays. There are few players on the Avalanche who warrant fantasy consideration right now, and Pickard probably isn't one of them.
