Predators' Pekka Rinne: Gives up game-winner with nine seconds left

Rinne allowed two goals on 26 shots in Thursday's 2-1 loss to Montreal.

Analysis:

Rinne was clinging to a 1-0 lead before surrendering two goals in the final 9:05 to take the regulation loss. Paul Byron scored the winner with just nine seconds to play, ending a three-game winning streak for the Finnish veteran. This was just the second time in his past eight games that Rinne was able to hold the opposition to two or fewer goals, but the surging Nashville offense has still propelled him to four wins over that span.
