Lightning's Andrei Vasilevskiy: Defending crease Wednesday

Vasilevskiy will be between the pipes for Wednesday night's game against the Hurricanes, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Analysis:

Vasilevskiy turned in a tremendous performance in his first start as the Lightning's new number one Monday. With the trade of Ben Bishop, Tampa Bay apparently views the 22-year-old Russian as its goalie of the future and another strong start Wednesday would give the team and fantasy owners alike a lot of confidence going forward. He'll look to keep it rolling against a cold Carolina team that ranked 29th in the NHL with 1.70 goals per game in February.
