Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Defending cage Tuesday

Hellebuyck will patrol the blue paint against the Wild on Tuesday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Analysis:

In his last five outings, Hellebuyck is 3-0-2, but he gave up nine goals in the two overtime defeats. Even though the netminder has reached the 20-win mark, he probably has not firmly secured the No. 1 job once Ondrej Pavelec (concussion) is cleared to return. The 23-year-old likely will remain the future of the Jets' organization, but coach Paul Maurice may want to get the most he can out of Pavelec this year, as he'll be a free agent this summer.
