Ducks' Jonathan Bernier: Defending the crease Saturday

Bernier will get the away start Saturday against the Kings, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

Analysis:

John Gibson has been battling a strained groin, making room for Bernier to get the starts in Anahiem for the time being. The 28-year-old backstop is netting a .900 save percentage this year, coupled with a 2.93 GAA. Los Angeles isn't necessarily an offensive powerhouse this season, but due to Bernier's inconsistency, there are definitely safer options in the net.
