Penguins' Matt Murray: Preparing to take on Flyers at home

Murray will command the crease as Saturday's home starter versus the Flyers. This will be an outdoor Stadium Series game at Heinz Field.

Analysis:

The second-year tender will be facing a Philly team ranked 24th in road scoring at 2.31 goals per contest. However, it would behoove Murray to keep close tabs on Wayne Simmonds' whereabouts, as the opposing winger has collected 22 points in 25 career games against the Penguins. Murray has won 22 of 34 games thanks to Pittsburgh's top-ranked offense, but be forewarned that star puck-mover Kris Letang (upper body) won't be available on the blue line and the Pens will be working feverishly to get newcomer Ron Hainsey up to speed on the top pair with Brian Dumoulin. Given the patched back lines, Murray might have to pull more of the weight in this next game.
