Penguins' Kris Letang: Unable to play Saturday

Letang (upper body) has officially been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Flyers.

Analysis:

The Pens haven't played since edging the Hurricanes on the road Tuesday, but Letang was unable to skate with the regulars three days later, leaving the hockey world pessimistic about his availability for the next contest. Newcomer Ron Hainsey is projected to slot in on the top pair with Brian Dumoulin since Tanger won't be out there. The mobile blueliner will hope to return for Tuesday's match in Dallas.
