Senators' Philip Varone: Moves up to big club

Varone was recalled from AHL Binghamton on Saturday.

The Senators are wisely calling up reinforcements with star wingers Mike Hoffman (lower body), Bobby Ryan (finger) and Mark Stone (neck) all injured ahead of an important divisional clash with the Panthers on Sunday evening. Calling up Varone was a no-brainer, as he leads the Baby Sens with 38 points (13 goals, 25 assists) in 48 games.
