Canadiens' Artturi Lehkonen: Moved up to second line

Lehkonen skated with Alex Galchnenyuk and Brendan Gallagher during Friday's practice, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports.

Analysis:

Lehkonen, who hasn't made a scoresheet in the last 13 games, had been on a line with Tomas Plekanec and Andrew Shaw, but Montreal coach Claude Julien tinkered with his combinations at Friday's practice. The coach is hoping the line-tinkering leads to more offense for Montreal, which has been goal challenged during a 2-7-1 run during the month of February. Julien lauded the rookie's hockey IQ, his ability to make plays and his dedication to both ends of the ice. Placing him on a line with more offensively skilled forwards for Saturday night's matchup in Toronto is Lehkonen's reward.
